LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — WoodSongs, a broadcast firm, and folksinger Michael Johnathon have teamed up to restore new music to Appalachia after the floods.
Songs instruments of all types are remaining gathered now until finally Friday, Sept. 30. Following the instruments are inspected, polished and refurbished, they’ll be dispersed to any individual or firm afflicted by the floods for absolutely free.
“I feel that really like is the best transaction of the arts, it drives all the things we do, almost everything we make and every little thing we come to feel,” Johnathon explained in a push release. “This is a time to place our politics, views and divisions aside and be loving neighbors to people in serious, precise require. WoodSongs is asking for donations of trumpets, trombones, flutes, drums, clarinets, guitars, banjos, fiddles, mandolins, keyboards, upright basses, electric powered devices, amps or additional.
