University of Songs offers 2nd yearly Chamber Music Competition with soloists Jennifer Frautschi and Clive Greensmith

The Faculty of Music welcomes renowned soloists to the stage for the fall installment of the second year
of its yearly Chamber Audio Festival. The competition begins with two concerts featuring
college students and faculty carrying out collectively as very well as together with distinguished guest
artists Jennifer Frautschi, violin, two-time Grammy nominee and Avery Fisher Career
Grant recipient and Clive Greensmith, cello, a previous member of the planet-renowned
Tokyo String Quartet.

The two fall performances will be Tuesday, Oct. 18, and Saturday, Oct. 22, at 7:30
p.m. in Watson Corridor on the UNCSA campus. Tickets are $20 normal and $15 for pupils with valid IDs. The live shows will also be livestreamed
as part of Live From Watson Hall.

The Chamber Audio Competition, which released last year, is led by artistic administrators
and school users Ida Bieler and Dmitri Vorobiev below the auspices of the graduate Chrysalis Chamber Tunes Institute of the University of Songs. The festival offers a must have prospects for learners

on Hebrew Themes, Op. 34 and Cesar Franck’s Piano Quintet in F minor.

The Oct. 22 program will function Frautschi and Greensmith joined by pupils and college-artists

Sextet in A main, Op. 48 and Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E flat big, Op.
44.

Jennifer Frautschi has garnered worldwide acclaim as a deeply expressive and musically adventurous violinist
with impeccable method and a large-ranging repertoire. She has appeared as soloist
with best orchestras which includes the Cincinnati Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Los Angeles
Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. As a chamber musician,
she has performed with the Boston Chamber Music Society and Chamber Audio Culture
of Lincoln Heart and has appeared at Chamber Songs Northwest La Jolla Summerfest
Music@Menlo Tippet Increase Artwork Middle Toronto Summer season Audio and the Bridgehampton,
Charlottesville, Lake Champlain, Moab, Ojai, Santa Fe, Seattle and Spoleto audio festivals.  

Clive Greensmith gave extra than 100 performances yearly with the Tokyo String Quartet from 1999
