Below are the top music festivals in the U.S. throughout summer 2024.
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
This year, Coachella features headlining acts Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator and Doja Cat — as well as a No Doubt reunion. Held over two weekends (April 12-14 and April 19-21) at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the festival’s stacked lineup also includes Peso Pluma, Sabrina Carpenter, Tinashe, Tyla, Blur, Ice Spice, Bleachers, Grimes, J Balvin, Reneé Rapp, Bebe Rexha, Victoria Monét, Chloe Bailey and Chappell Roan, among other acts.
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
The iconic New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival returns to Fair Grounds Race Course in the Louisiana city over two weekends: April 25-28 and May 2-5. Among the stacked list of performers are The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Chris Stapleton, The Killers, Neil Young with Crazy Horse, Hozier, Queen Latifah, Vampire Weekend, Heart, Bonnie Raitt, Fantasia, The Beach Boys and Earth, Wind & Fire as well as a tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett with the Coral Reefer Band.
Brightside Music Festival
Get ready to rock out with Sublime, 311, Goldfinger, Story of the Year and more acts at Brightside Music Festival. Held at Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando, the one-day event is set to go down on April 27.
BeachLife Festival
Sting, Incubus and My Morning Jacket are heading down to the waterfront of Redondo Beach, California, to deliver headlining performances at this year’s BeachLife Festival. Set for May 3-5, other acts taking the stage include Seal, Devo, Santigold, Trey Anastasio + Classic TAB, ZZ Top, Margo Price and Sugar Ray.
Sol Blume Festival
Snoh Aalegra, KAYTRAMINÉ (a.k.a. KAYTRANADA and Aminé) and SZA serve as headliners for this year’s Sol Blume Festival at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California. Taking place from May 3-5, the lineup also features Omar Apollo, PinkPantheress, JoJo, Wale, Kelela, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Ari Lennox, Doechii, Ayra Starr, Leon Thomas and more acts.
Lovers & Friends Festival
Lovers & Friends, the festival for fans of throwback R&B music and more, is back for its third year at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 4 with headlining performances from Janet Jackson, Backstreet Boys and Usher — who will perform his classic Confessions album. Also taking the stage are Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Nelly Furtado, Ciara, Ja Rule, Ashanti, T-Pain, Ludacris, Nelly, Brandy, JoJo, Kelly Rowland and Lil Wayne, among others.
Welcome to Rockville Festival
Looking to see Mötley Crüe, Limp Bizkit, Foo Fighters, Slipknot, Jelly Roll, Queens of the Stone Age, Evanescence, Sum 41, Insane Clown Posse, Judas Priest and more rock stars this summer? Head down to Welcome to Rockville Festival at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, taking place from May 9-12.
Cruel World Festival
Rock fans will want to check out Cruel World Festival, a one-day event headlined by Duran Duran on May 11 and held at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Other performers on the lineup include Interpol, Blondie, Simple Minds, Placebo, Soft Cell, Adam Ant and the supergroup DREAMCAR, which features members of AFI and No Doubt.
Lightning in a Bottle Festival
Fans of dance music and beyond will want to attend Lightning in a Bottle Festival, which does down May 22-27 at Buena Vista Lake in Southern California. Performers for this year’s iteration include Skrillex, Labrinth, James Blake, M.I.A., Fatboy Slim, Aluna, Mura Masa, Honey Dijon, Mette and more.
BottleRock Napa Valley
Held at Napa Valley Expo in the heart of California’s wine country, BottleRock Napa Valley is a three-day festival set to go down from May 24-26. Pearl Jam, Ed Sheeran, Stevie Nicks and Maná will serve as headliners, while the lineup also features acts including Kali Uchis, Megan Thee Stallion, Norah Jones, Nelly, T-Pain and Bebe Rexha.
Boston Calling
Ed Sheeran, Tyler Childers and The Killers are set to headline Boston Calling, which will be held from May 24-26 at Harvard Athletic Complex in Boston. Other artists slated to perform include Leon Bridges, Trey Anastasio & Classic TAB, Hozier, Reneé Rapp, Megan Thee Stallion and Young the Giant.
Railbird Music Festival
The lineup for Railbird Music Festival features headliners Noah Kahan, Turnpike Troubadours, Chris Stapleton and Hozier, who will take the stage at The Infield at Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky, from June 1-2. Performances from Counting Crows, Wynonna Judd, Elle King, Ryan Beatty, Brittney Spencer, Hailey Whitters, Kip Moore and others will also take place.
Roots Picnic
Lil Wayne, Nas, Victoria Monét and Jill Scott are set to headline this year’s Roots Picnic at The Mann Center in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park on June 1-2. The festival will also feature artists including Gunna, Travis Scott, Sexxy Red, Tyla, Cam’ron, Wale, Smino and more. This year’s lineup also includes a special performance from André 3000.
The Governors Ball Music Festival
The Governors Ball Music Festival takes place from June 7-9 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City’s Queens borough. Headlining performers include Post Malone, The Killers, SZA, Rauw Alejandro, 21 Savage and Peso Pluma, while the lineup also includes FLO, Carly Rae Jepsen, Sabrina Carpenter, Sexyy Red, Tyla and Victoria Monét.
Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival
Taking place over four days from from June 13-16 at the Bonnaroo Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, is Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Headlining acts include Pretty Lights, Fisher, Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Fred Again…, while the lineup also features T-Pain, Melanie Martinez, Diplo, Jon Batiste, Reneé Rapp, Megan Thee Stallion and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Four Chord Music Fest
Pop-punk fans, get ready for Four Chord Music Fest, a two-day event headlined by A Day to Remember and The All-American Rejects from June 22-23 at Carrie Furnace in Pittsburgh. Other acts performing at the festival include The Story So Far, Something Corporate, Senses Fail, State Champs, Motion City Soundtrack and more.
Levitate Music and Arts Festival
Sublime, Lake Street Dive, Mt. Joy, Tash Sultana, Dirty Heads, Charley Crockett, Cory Wong, Oliver Anthony and more artists will perform at Levitate Music and Arts Festival. The three-day event takes place from July 5-7 at the historic Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, Massachusetts.
Day In Day Out Festival
Carly Rae Jepsen, The Head and the Heart and Bleachers will headline Day In Day Out Fest at Washington’s Seattle Center from July 12-14. Additional acts on the lineup include Suki Waterhouse, Peach Pit, Men I Trust, Hippo Campus, The Walkmen and Amyl and the Sniffers, among others.
Minnesota Yacht Club Festival
The first-ever Minnesota Yacht Club Festival is going down at Harriet Island Regional Park in Saint Paul, MN, from July 19-20. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alanis Morissette and Gwen Stefani will deliver headlining performances, while the artist lineup also includes The Black Crowes, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, The Head and the Heart, Morgan Wade, The Offspring, Hippo Campus and Gary Clark Jr., among others.
Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival
Love music and motorcycles? Head down to Milwaukee for the 2024 Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival, held from July 25-28 in celebration of the company’s former senior vice president and chief styling officer, Willie G. Davidson. Headlining the festival this year are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jelly Roll and HARDY, while additional performers include The Offspring, Warren Zeiders and Cypress Hill.
Hinterland Music Festival
Alternative music fans will enjoy Hinterland, which goes down from Aug. 2-4 at the Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater in Saint Charles, Iowa. Headlining performers include Hozier, Vampire Weekend and Noah Kahan, while other acts on the lineup include Lizzy McAlpine, Orville Peck, Ethel Cain, Hippo Campus, Chappell Roan, Mt. Joy and more.
Music at the Intersection Festival
This year’s Music at the Intersection Festival takes place from Sept. 14-15 in the Grand Center Arts District of St. Louis, Missouri. Headlining performers include Black Pumas, Big Boi, Lettuce, Chingy, Chaka Khan and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, while other acts featured on the lineup are Esperanza Spalding, Samara Joy, Jordan Ward, Cimafunk and Lady Wray.
Bourbon & Beyond Festival
Zach Bryan, Dave Matthews Band, Tyler Childers and Neil Young are set to headline this year’s Bourbon & Beyond Festival at Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville, Kentucky. Held over September 19-22, the festival will also feature performances from Beck, Matchbox Twenty, The National, The Beach Boys, Maren Morris, Melissa Etheridge and Teddy Swims, among others.
